Don is the owner and operator at Running Wild. Born and raised in South Florida, Don has been a leader in the local running community since 1999 when he started his career in the retail trade as what was, for him, a natural adjunct to his self-evident ability as a talented runner. With such dedication, Don has an impressive list of PR times in 5Ks, 10Ks, half marathons, and full marathons, including Boston, Chicago and New York. His passion for running and runners of all levels has created a fun and welcoming atmosphere for everyone at Running Wild. Liz has been running since 1988. She has competed 3 half iron mans, countless triathlons and 35 marathons, including 9 Boston Marathons. When she’s not running, she enjoys playing tennis and coaching runners for the American Stroke Association, among others. With over 25 years of running and shoe-fitting experience, Liz is highly knowledgeable about getting each customer into the right shoe. Her loving coworkers refer to her expertise status as part of being the ‘oldest, longest living employee’ at Running Wild. “I enjoy helping people get into the right shoe and have happy feet!”
Coach Robert was born in England and practiced engineering before becoming a professional runner. He was part of the ’59 Olympic marathon team and won two national championships, as part of the USATF and RRCA. Robert is passionate about helping runners reach their full potential and coaches a team in Fort Lauderdale. He has been part of the Running Wild family for six years and provides weekly running tips for all runners. “It a pleasure to serve the running community.”
Pat is a veteran at Running Wild with a work history of more than 20 years. Her experience, knowledge and passion shine with every customer she meets, eager to help them reach their racing and training goals. She loves interacting with runners in and out of the store and competes regularly in local triathlons. “It’s great being in a business where you can help people.”
Sue completed her first triathlon after she turned 40. She enjoys ironman races and qualified for the Hawaii ironman in ’04. Sue joined the Running Wild family after she retired from the corporate world 10 years ago. With a background in customer service, Sue knows how important it is to treat each customer with outstanding attention. She specializes in shoe fitting, and applies her past foot surgery experience to help others that find it difficult to find the right shoe. When she’s not involved with running, she volunteers at Gumbo Limbo Nature Center. She also helps host the Green Turtle Gallop race to benefit the sea turtle rehabilitation center.
